Julie is a 47-year-old mom of three beautiful children. Julie first started taking pole classes back in December 2012 when the studio first opened (she was one of the founding students!).
Julie believes that we seem to short-change ourselves on “taking time out for ourselves”. Life in general is very “Go, Go, Go!”. Julies mission as a pole studio owner is to create a place where you can get away from all of your stresses in a fun, safe environment where there is no judgement. Julie has worked very hard to create a professional environment where you do not feel intimidated or uncomfortable.
One of her favourite things about Pole Fitness is the confidence it builds in the students that come to the studio. There is something to be said for lifting your whole body on a pole! It’s definitely an amazing and rewarding accomplishment. Not to mention… EMPOWERING!
Her favourite pole trick is the Iron X because she feels the most powerful. I bet if you ask her to demonstrate she will rock it, no problem!
One thing Julie wants everyone to know is “You do not have to be strong to do Pole!” Which is why we offer all different levels to help slowly build up your strength. Julie encourages everyone from all walks of life, all shapes, sizes and ages to come and give Pole a try!
Ashliegh has been instructing with Aradia since April 2015 and has been in Pole fitness since July 2015.
One of her favourite things about pole fitness is that anyone regardless of their strength, age or size can participate in pole.
Ashliegh’s favourite pole trick is the “gemini leg-hang”. When she’s not at the studio, you can find her chasing after her new puppy or cat napping with her cats!
Kenna’s pole journey began in 2009 when a friend convinced her to buy an X-Pole off of ebay. She began her pole journey self-instructed in her basement in Ft. McMurray. Later in 2009, she moved to Edmonton and took classes at several different studios but in 2014 she put down her pole roots with us here in Stony Plain!
Lisa’s pole journey began in 2013 and her journey as an instructor started in 2015.
Her goal as an instructor is to inspire women to find & boost their self confidence and help them believe in themselves in all that they do.
When Lisa isn’t at the studio, she is chasing after her busy toddler, strength training or competing in obstacle course races (like Spartan!).
Alexandra (Alex for short), born and raised here in Stony Plain has been dancing since she was three years old! Alex trained at Edmonton School of Ballet for four years.
After graduating from High School, her and her mother took an intro to pole class and she loved it! Alex has now been doing pole for over a year and teaching since April 2016.
Candis joined a pole fitness class in 2014 and was instantly hooked! The strength and confidence that was achieved is amazing and rewarding.
Candis took the leap to become an instructor in 2016 and is having so much fun watching her students achieve the things that they did not think was possible.
Candis’ favourite pole move is the “inverted thigh hold” and the “electric leg swing”!
